Antacids Are Our Friends

Hopefully this entry won't gross too many of you out :). But, consider yourself warned! With all of my wonderful dietary restrictions I have developed an annoying little habit of having a stomach ache at least once a day. Sometimes it is because I am hungry, sometimes it's because I ate something I shouldn't have and sometimes (at least in my personal opinion) there is a legion of little trolls in my stomach that get mad and start rolling around. As you may have guessed today is one such day, although I can't blame the trolls for this one. So I just wanted to talk for a minute about the wonderful chalky goodness of Maalox (or your preferred ant-acid). I have always been a Maalox girl myself, probably because everything else actually tastes like medicine which is like a death wish for whoever wants me to buy and use it. Even the smell of medicine makes me want to gag...but, I digress.
Maalox comes in a variety of flavors and a broad range of potency from mild to maximum strength, I do believe that it is still sold as a liquid as well ...but, come on? I really don't think anybody wants to drink that stuff...right?? I love Maalox because it goes straight to work, especially if you have heartburn and it makes my tummy all nice and better. So, I can carry on though my day. It's also a plus that it's gluten free :D. That makes it a winner in my book.
